iText started as an open-source project in 2000 and the first iText company was founded in 2008 in Ghent, Belgium. In under five years, the company opened offices in the U.S. and Asia, and in 2014 it was announced as the fastest growing company in Belgium by the Deloitte Fast50 ranking, for an extreme growth of 4099%. At this moment iText has more than 16 employees in Ghent and 25 in the world. Additional offices in Boston – US and Singapore, but also sales representation in Germany, UK and France.
For iText, being a Belgian mid-sized company, the process is a critical part of our success in the organization and its continued growth. After a long search for 2 IT Development candidates for our development team in Ghent, we could not find the right person via our normal partners and our own network. So, we decided to look for a specialized partner to team up.
We came in contact with Douwe Kappelle from Cooder. He informed us about their unique service to make sure they found the right candidate for the job. This service includes a fixed fee and a generic candidate representation. With their own application system, it is easy to communicate with each other about every candidate which made the cooperation a big success. Above this all Cooder has a really good value for money and can compete with its competitors.
The cooperation with Cooder was very successful and our demand for the two University level candidates was filled within half a year. Partly by the accurate work from Cooder and their quick operations we can now expand even further in 2017. This has resulted in a new search for the same type of candidate for our office in Ghent.
