Data Scientist

The job of (Sr) Data Scientist consists mainly of setting up the appropriate models and processes to run our Revenue Management products, and to answer ad-hoc questions from clients & our consultants in the context of Revenue Management / Marketing & Sales Modelling.

Some examples of modelling are:
1) Statistical / econometric / marketing modelling:

• Modelling on market sales data / predominantly FMCG (fast moving consumer goods industry), electronics, telco, etc. Both Brick & Mortar sales data, and online sales data (e.g. Amazon).
• Predictive and prescriptive modelling / baseline regression models / baseline forecasting models / price elasticity models
• Driver analysis: baseline decomposition models / uplift decomposition models

2) Product & process design in the context of:

• Promotional effectiveness
• Price elasticity and price pack architecture
• Marketing mix modelling
• Sell-in & sell-out prediction models
• Etc.

As part of the job, the (Sr) Data scientist will also contribute towards:

• The data architecture (of large and small datasets),
• Data processing solutions,
• Data mining solutions

The function of (Sr) Data Scientist is predominantly an internal function that works in close collaboration with other Data Scientists in the team (for sharing & learning relevant know-how), other Data Experts on the project side, as well as Business Analysts and Consultants. Therefore, Project management & collaboration skills, both in terms of recurrent projects and development projects, are a strong plus for junior levels, and required for senior levels.
